About the Model V
In a sidelock the lockwork is mounted on the side plates, the construction of the finest English and continental double rifles. It gives crisp trigger pulls and a large surface for the engraver, and it is the rifle most often ordered as a once-in-a-lifetime piece.
A double rifle is only as good as its regulation. Each pair of barrels is adjusted and test-fired in Eibar until both shoot together, so the second shot lands where the first did. Every rifle is then proofed at the Eibar Proof House.
The rifle photographed has rosette and fine-scroll engraving on the lock plates, a steel grip cap and a highly figured stock with cheekpiece and pistol grip. Wood, engraving and dimensions are chosen with each order.
