About the Model 3
The boxlock is the working double rifle: fewer parts, a compact action and lockwork housed inside the frame, where it is protected from dust and rain. It is the rifle for a hunter who wants a second shot without a bolt to work, and for the outfitter who needs rifles that keep working season after season.
A double rifle is only as good as its regulation. Each pair of barrels is adjusted and test-fired in Eibar until both shoot together, so the second shot lands where the first did. Every rifle is then proofed at the Eibar Proof House.
The action is scroll- and flower-engraved by hand. The stock is selected walnut with a pistol grip, a cheekpiece and hand checkering; the forend carries a diamond-checkered pattern to match.
