About the Model 116

In a sidelock the lockwork is mounted on the side plates rather than inside the action. It is the construction of the finest English and Spanish guns, and it gives the engraver a generous canvas. Every Model 116 has a double safety system, a hinged front trigger, gas escape valves and selective automatic ejectors.

The barrels are demi-bloc, made from specially forged and heat-treated steels. The walnut is selected by eye for each gun, then oil-finished and checkered by hand. The engraving follows the pattern illustrated for this model; ribs, chokes, stock shape and dimensions are specified with each order.
